Happy New Year for 2010-The Anniversary of Chopin's Birth

This year is the 200th anniversary of Chopin's birth. I thought I'd ride out the New Year peacefully without celebrations

Well, that's the last article for the year. Happy New Year to all those who read this blog. I suppose I am getting pretty focused on the Great Game and the destruction of Krakow under neoliberal consumer pressures and irresponsible Tourists as I've not even bothered celebrating the coming of the New Year. Tomorrow the blog continues as usual. As it has over the last year since early January 2009. Well, it is 01:19 AM. Time to go to bed.

  1. Happy new year underground man.

Thanks for the Chopin, without those calming tones I would not have been able to negotiate my way around Cifwatch's site without going crazy.

Best just ignore them. Let them chase illusinary fantsies, I swear half the people running that site must be on antipsychotics. The best damage they can do to their credibility is carry on on their presesnt course.

Anyway, it's been a nice enough Hogmanany in Scotland. Snow on the ground for a change. And good fireworks in relation to the smallness of the town I live in.

  2. Nice to hear from you.

The lunacy gets worse with smear attacks appearing on the Beatroot Blog which merely mentions "conspiracy theories" with regards politicians blethering about the reason for the Auschwitz theft without even knowing the facts.

One blogger called me antisemitic ( yawn ) and another said this site was run by the Russian government and/or the KGB. If so, the cheque isn't in the post yet LoL :)

Nor would it be as I explicitly praise Anna Politivskaya's integrity, criticise Putin on numerous occasions and mention the Great Game is making all the pareticipants as ruthless.

On the whole though, Putin is responding to Western expansionism. The lie of a "resurgent Russia" is propaganda for where is it "surging" back from. The Tsarist hey day ?

No matter how many times it gets explained, people's brains are poisoned by this Soviet Union=Russia propaganda and the idea that the Soviet Union was just the Russian version of Nazism.
